Uses of the Monitor Cable

A monitor cable is a type of composite cable that is an analog video display receiving signal in an analog form through a single cable. It is better than VGA cable which uses multiple cables.
A monitor does not have an internal RF converter to receive signals. Security cameras and other computers use this monitor cables. These cables are used in combination with other cables and connectors like monitor and S-Video cables are used in regions like PAL and NTSC. They have BNC and RCA connectors for the video output. All these cables are decoded for the color signals and use CRT for display signals. The CRT also implies the display of red, green and blue color picture.
A process called encoding is done for receiving and combining the signals together. The quality of the monitor cable may be improved by fitting in a special type of filter called Comb filters. With the help of these filters the decoding can be done effectively and the signals can be transmitted back to RGB for display.
Monitor cables find its application mainly in commercial studios like in dubbing centers and now-a-days also used in home computers. Like the composite cable they are also used for game consoles.
Video monitor cables can also be used for video cameras, VTRs and DDRs. It is widely used for video surveillance and for testing new video devices. Monitor cable is thus used for multi-tasking in case of video signals and display.
