Ignore a camera strap at your own peril

Although not often getting the recognition it deserves, a camera strap is an extremely convenient tool for carrying your camera. Camera straps are available in numerous types. Although most cameras come with straps carrying the manufacturer’s logo or things like that, it is not necessarily true that these suit each and every user. Many people may also just detest the idea of being a mobile ad for a camera company.
Camera straps that come with the cameras may not prove comfortable in the case of extended use. As a quality camera with a quality lens can be rather heavy in weight, you may feel uncomfortable if the strap you are using is not good enough. This is not to say that straps supplied by major camera makers are not good; but they are only basic cloth camera straps, and you can have a much better one if you wish to. If the need arises, you can even make one for yourself.
However, buying a cheap, poor-quality camera strap will only endanger your valuable instrument. You won’t be a confident person behind the camera if you keep worrying about the not-too-strong couplings of your camera strap. If you have a good camera, you must have a good strap as well.
You can have a neck strap or a chest strap whichever suits you best. A quick release chest strap or harness keeps your camera firmly in place while you climb or fighting your way through bush. So never underestimate the role of a camera strap; it may prove crucial for your camera.
